Never lose your place again!

During scrolling, Readable uses face-detection to detect when you are reading. Readable uses the front-facing camera in the iPhone 4, iPod Touch and iPad 2, to determine whether you are looking at the screen.

Put Readable down, and Readable automatically pauses scrolling. Pick Readable back up, and your page resumes scrolling - right where you left off. 

So take that call, or grab that coffee - and never lose your place!

Link Lock

Now you see them, now you don't!

Readable aims to make reading web pages on your mobile device as comfortable as possible. Link Lock toggles links - to hide or display links in the article you are reading.

When scrolling is paused, tapping on links enables you to open links in Readable or in mobile Safari. Using Link Lock, you can hide links from view, whether you are paused or scrolling - letting you focus on the content without distraction.

The simple 'Play' and 'Pause' buttons scroll your article vertically. Choose from 9 speeds to suit your reading speed and text size. No more constant 'finger-flicking' or 'tap-and-drag' while reading. Just press play and lean back and enjoy the comfortable reading experience.

You won't want to read the web any other way.

Scroll to position

Share the exact sentence you are reading

Want to draw someone's attention to a particular paragraph or sentence in a long article?

Email an article to a friend or colleague, when they open the link in their copy of Readable, the App will automatically offer to scroll to the exact position you were reading. Press 'Yes', and Readable will automatically scroll to position. Press 'No', and Readable will start you off at the beginning of the article.

Readable has built-in support for a range of article storage services to suit your work flow: Read It Later for your read later list, Delicious for your bookmarks and Google Reader for your feeds and/or Instapaper 'Unread list'.

A Readable bookmarklet opens webpages directly from Mobile Safari, and "Paste & Play" opens any link you've copied, from any other App, with just one tap!

Elegant themes to suit every taste

Readable ships with 5 gorgeous themes to suit every taste. The Novel and Type themes are set against realistic paper textures, whilst News and eBook offer a clean minimalist approach. Do you pine for a PDA? Enjoy our Retro theme for a trip back in time.

Each theme has a day and night version for reading in low light. There are also five text sizes to choose from.

Pagination

Elegant page by page reading

As an alternative to auto-scrolling, Readable includes an elegant pagination feature. Not just a simulated page turn, but an elegant vertical glide of one screen's view - so you can read in comfort.

When paused, use the arrows to navigate up or down your article one screen at a time.

For even greater precision, you can drag the scrubber head along the progress bar to rapid scroll your article to a specific point. The percentage indicator will give you additional feedback as you move through a long article.
